ENTERING_THE_DREAM_LOG

LOGLINE:

In an escape-dependent society, a compassionate dream-mercenary, or Strafer, considers subjecting a friend to an excruciating extraction process in order to evade her own destitution, disconnection, and despair.

In a post-resource world, Strafers sell the dreams of the dead for consumption by an addicted public. One empathetic Strafer, Dezz, struggles to bolster her recently dried up dream supply.

Into this climate bursts Warren, a raucous frequent client who's looking to score. After listening to Dezz's situation, Warren suggests she attempt the previously unimaginable: Harvest his memory of a particularly transcendent trip the two recently shared while he still lives.

Dezz suddenly faces two terrifying truths: That the procedure could potentially mark a turning point in the still-evolving dream-harvesting industry and that it would also very likely kill or permanently damage her only friend.
